The 2012 version of Monsterpalooza comes to an end this weekend and we wont see it again until the sequel this October. It was another fantastic year though with plenty of fanservice, some pretty awesome costumes, kick-ass expensive goods and a celebration of one man's under-appreciated career.
I was able to attend a panel dedicated to the late Jack Pierce that was hosted by Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy with a group of experts that included: Mike Hill, Scott Essman, Jeff Pirtle and Perry Shields. The conversation delved into Jack's life, his work on the classic Universal Monsters, bits of trivia and some untold stories. Overall, it was a fantastic conversation to listen in on if you're a bit of a film buff like myself. You can find the entire video series below the break.
A word of warning though. I had some camera troubles so the footage got a bit shaky and the beginning is a little cut off and part of the end is missing. I have another copy, so hopefully I'll be able to retrieve the end from that one. Enjoy the panel!
